About ExxonMobil in Angola
ExxonMobil has interests in three producing deepwater blocks (Blocks 15, 17, and 32) covering nearly 3 million gross acres in Angola. These blocks contain world-class development opportunities and have a gross recoverable resource potential of approximately 9 billion oil-equivalent barrels. Across these blocks, our net production in Angola averaged 100 thousand barrels of oil per day in 2024. With a workforce of nearly 500 employees, ‘Angolanization’ continues to be a priority for ExxonMobil, with 90% of the total workforce being Angolan.
The company’s principal office is located at Torres Atlântico in the capital city of Luanda; additional employees are stationed in the city of Soyo.
