Houston, Texas - Kids’ Meals
ExxonMobil employees and their family members helped the community following Hurricane Beryl in 2024 by packing nearly 10,000 lunches for Kids' Meals Inc., a Greater Houston area nonprofit. The organization delivers free lunch to more than 15,000 preschool-aged children and their older siblings daily. ExxonMobil also gave Kids’ Meals a $3 million contribution toward a new 50,000-square-foot facility, which will nearly triple the size of its current headquarters, further helping Kids’ Meals achieve its goal of serving 26,000 children each weekday by 2031.
Indonesia – Mangrove Restoration and Local Enterprise Support
ExxonMobil volunteers in Indonesia are taking action to protect Java's coastline. They planted 35,000 mangrove trees in 2024, adding to the 105,000 planted since 2012. Volunteers also work side by side with local fishing communities to cultivate mangrove seedlings as part of ongoing restoration efforts.
The economic development of these communities has also been a focus. We are helping local fishermen make products from their catch, creating new sources of income. This initiative has already helped more than 450 small businesses in the areas where ExxonMobil operates.
Corpus Christi, Texas - Friends of Padre Island Big Shell Beach Clean Up
Each year, our Gulf Coast Growth Venture team volunteers with the Friends of Padre Island organization to clean up beaches on North Padre Island. In 2024, employees and JV partners from SABIC served along with family members to help remove more than 28 tons of trash from 30 miles of beach shoreline with the Friends of Padre Big Shell Beach Clean Up.
