• Africa’s next generation of STEM leaders gathered at the second annual ExxonMobil Foundation STEM Africa Regional Finals.
• The STEM Africa competition reached approximately 3,000 students across Nigeria, Namibia, Angola and Mozambique through weekly STEM quizzes, in-person competitions and Innovation Camps.
• 16 exceptional students across these four countries, selected from a pool of over 3,000 participants across the continent, presented their solutions to some of Africa’s most pressing challenges.

• ExxonMobil Foundation STEM Africa competition received the Local Impact Award at the Big Five Board Awards 2025 in London.
• Launched in 2024, the program has reached over 3,000 students with hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
• 96.4% of participants are now interested in STEM careers.

LUANDA, Angola – The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), ExxonMobil Angola and the Angola Block 15 partners today announced a new discovery at the Bavuca South-1 exploration well.

Thanks to significant local and global efforts, great progress has been made in reducing the burden of malaria in the last 20 years. But more work remains to ensure people are able to live healthy and productive lives, free from the threat of this deadly disease.
