STEM in action

In June, ExxonMobil and its community partners hosted an integrated STEM Fair in Angola that brought together nearly 500 participants and showcased programs from across multiple provinces. The event highlighted initiatives ranging from teacher training to vocational education and a women’s farming club, demonstrating how STEM skills connect to real-world careers.

Interactive exhibits, including the Jr. NBA STEM program, which is supported by the ExxonMobil Foundation, offered hands-on learning experiences that combined sports and science to make education more engaging and relevant.

The event strengthened relationships with community partners that are expanding opportunities and shaping the future of STEM education in Angola.

ExxonMobil’s partnership with the Dom Bosco Vocational Training Center is also opening doors to employment, particularly for youth, in skilled trades such as welding. Other partnerships, including ExxonMobil’s 20-year relationship with the Sister Domingas & Friends Foundation, further underscore the lasting impact the company is making in the community through its support of vulnerable children and youth.
