Our Nigerian upstream affiliates operate five deepwater blocks under production sharing contracts. With over 115 years of history in Nigeria, we focus on deepwater production operations, and make significant investments in national content development, reflecting our long-term commitment to the region.

Investing in Mozambique in 2017, we hold a 25 percent indirect interest in Area 4 and will lead the construction and operation of future natural gas liquefaction facilities.

Signing our first production sharing agreement in 1994, we have interest in three deepwater blocks in Angola.
These blocks are estimated to have a gross recoverable potential of ~ 10 billion oil-equivalent barrels.

We’ve partnered with QatarEnergy since the early 1990s to develop the North Field. Today, through LNG joint ventures, we continue to deliver technical and management expertise locally and globally.

Discovered in 1963, the Upper Zakum oil field is the second largest offshore oil field in the world.
After becoming a partner in Upper Zakum oil field in 2006, we collaborated in incorporating a unique combination of technologies to increase recovery and optimize infrastructure.

We have a long history of partnerships in Saudi Arabia since 1927. Today, through our 5 joint ventures with Saudi Aramco and SABIC, we participate in the petroleum refining and petrochemicals manufacturing industries in Saudi Arabia, the U.S. and China.

We are leveraging our upstream experience in Namibia, specifically in the Namibe basin. Since acquiring a shared interest in three offshore blocks in 2019, we have been continuing with exploration efforts
