As the world marks International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the inspiring women in Qatar who drive progress, strengthen businesses, and create lasting impact in our communities. Women like Noora Musa see growth as a journey of determination, seizing opportunities, and pushing boundaries.
“I never give up,” she says. “Growth happens when you step into new experiences. Every challenge is a chance to discover your capabilities and push further toward your dreams.”
Noora’s professional journey began in 2012 after she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and management information systems, followed by an MBA. Her curiosity and drive to challenge led her to Qatar’s dynamic energy sector before joining ExxonMobil Qatar in 2018.
Today, she’s the community and communications manager on ExxonMobil Qatar’s Public and Government Affairs team, where she manages contributions and works closely with organizations to support community development.
Seeing the Qatar University ExxonMobil STEM Teacher Academy come to life last November was a proud moment for her and her colleagues. Since 2012, it has trained over 500 teachers, equipping them with the tools to inspire a passion for STEM in more than 23,000 students. Sparking curiosity and innovation prepares the next generation to shape a more sustainable future.
“I love collaborating with different organizations, seeing the impact of our work firsthand, and building meaningful relationships along the way,” Noora shares. “The academy, for instance, is shaping young minds and building skills to create lasting benefits for our country.”
Beyond work, Noora is always on the move - literally. An avid runner, she’s completed local and regional half marathons and balances her training with weightlifting.
“Running keeps me focused and determined,” she says. “It’s also limitless and truly liberating.”
And when she’s not pushing her limits on the track, Noora can be found arranging flowers as a certified florist.
“Flowers bring me joy and help me slow down. I love lavender for its soothing scent and bougainvillea for its resilience in the Qatari sun. Floristry nurtures creativity and patience, turning a single idea into a beautiful arrangement, just like my work at ExxonMobil, where detail matters.”
Noora’s story is one of resilience, passion, and continuous growth. And her best chapters are yet to come.
