We strive to support the Beaumont area economy through community investments that spur local development and improve quality of life, particularly in the Charlton-Pollard, South Park and Amelia neighborhoods.
ExxonMobil employees and retirees have volunteered more than 25,000 hours across the Greater Beaumont area.

Some of the community programs we support in the area include:

Educational activities
Employees work with five Beaumont Independent School District (BISD) neighboring schools to provide assistance with mentoring, tutoring and hands-on classroom learning activities focused on literacy, science and mathematics. -
Youth activities
ExxonMobil supports several educational and cultural programs serving young people, including those living in the Amelia, Charlton-Pollard and South Park neighborhoods, such as
• the Art Museum of Southeast Texas Art After School program,
• year-long STEM programs, and
• the Golden Triangle Chapter of the Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering. -
Senior services
Employees deliver healthy meals and encouragement to senior citizens and other homebound neighbors through the local Meals on Wheels program managed by Nutrition & Services for Seniors. -
Hunger relief
Each year, employees volunteer hundreds of hours to support the Southeast Texas Food Bank through food sorting, distribution and other agency activities. -
Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
Employee volunteers collaborate with BISD to female middle school students for a day of hands-on engineering science-based learning. -
Career exploration and readiness
ExxonMobil contributes annually toward education and training in furtherance of technical and engineering education. Education programs span elementary to higher education, including funding for engineering programs, technical programs, scholarships, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) development and workforce skills training. We work closely with the Beaumont Independent School District, Lamar University, Lamar Institute of Technology and other organizations to assist in developing a skilled, locally-based workforce.
COVID-19 relief efforts
The world is counting on us to help meet its energy needs, especially at this critical time. We are committed to working to supply the fuels and products that consumers, first responders, health care officials and medical personnel need to address this global health crisis. Our local community involvement includes:
• 25,000 gallons of fuel to Jefferson County and the City of Beaumont for first response vehicles
• Over 2,000 gallons of hand sanitizer to Jefferson County, City of Beaumont, Baptist Hospital and United Way agencies
• Over $5,000 in Exxon Mobil gas gift cards for front line hospital workers and local non-profit organizations
