“Thailand is on an enormous journey, one that is changing the face of its energy landscape, and like on any good journey you need a navigator to help guide you in uncharted territory,” Suda Ninvoraskul, ExxonMobil Thailand’s first female lead country manager says.

“That’s where we can help Thailand, using our skills, capability and global footprint to help them navigate the opportunities of the energy transition.”

For over 130 years, we have supplied and created some of the essential fuels and lubricants to help support Thailand’s growth and development.

“Our global experience puts us in the right position to be Thailand’s strategic partner, helping it address energy challenges and the energy transition, as we have expertise in lower-carbon solutions and the knowledge of how to get the most out of them.”

A strategic partner to support Thailand's energy transition

Suda says Thailand's challenges, like those of many countries, include ensuring energy security during the transition, while building its lower-carbon energy capabilities.

“Thailand has the vision for its new energy future, and ExxonMobil has the technology and expertise, with a global network that we can bring into the country to achieve this future,” Suda says.

This knowledge and capability flows both ways. In Bangkok, our Global Business Center (GBC) provides a wide range of high-value services and energy solutions for our operations around the world, helping them to navigate their own transitions.

It does this through providing IT, procurement, human resources, workforce enablement, customer services, global trading, supply chain, and financial services.

“Our Bangkok GBC is one of the most complex and biggest of its kind,” Suda says.

“Our people are our greatest asset,” she stresses. “They have the breadth and depth of knowledge needed, and a commitment to make things happen. It’s what you want to have to help transform a country.”

“Education is the key to national development and economic growth. We will endeavor to inspire and provide students with the opportunities to fulfil their educational aspirations in preparation for their future career.”

Suda explains our teams are working with universities and schools to build a STEM education foundation that can translate into a stronger economic future.

“We’ve partnered with them to develop skills and talents that can meet future global needs, giving guidance on curriculum directions, sharing industry knowledge, and providing internships and career opportunities,” she says.

We will not just help move Thailand forward, we will work with Thailand to move the world forward.

And as Thailand’s requirements evolve and change, we’re here to help them.
