The Baytown Refinery is one of the largest refineries in the United States. Here, crude oil is transformed into products that help keep the world moving, including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and lubricant products.

Beyond transportation fuels, the refinery also provides important feedstocks used by other Baytown facilities, demonstrating the value of operating as an integrated complex.

Making the building blocks of modern life

Products manufactured at the Baytown Chemical Plant become part of everyday life. The site produces essential chemical building blocks used in applications ranging from food packaging and automotive components to healthcare products and consumer goods.

Creating the foundations for thousands of products

The Baytown Olefins Plant produces essential petrochemical building blocks such as ethylene and propylene, materials that are used to manufacture countless products found in homes, hospitals, schools and businesses around the world.

The facility also provides much of the power and steam needed to operate Baytown operations. 

Producing materials that help protect and preserve

Located in nearby Chambers County, the Mont Belvieu Plastics Plant manufactures polyethylene products used in food packaging, consumer products, industrial applications and healthcare materials.
These products help preserve food, reduce waste and support modern lifestyles.

The Baytown Technology & Engineering Complex is one of ExxonMobil's largest research and technology centers. Scientists, engineers and researchers at the site work to develop technologies that improve operations, advance manufacturing processes and support future energy and sustainability solutions.
