Celebrating a decade of success

In 2010, work started on the country’s first LNG development, the ExxonMobil-operated PNG LNG Project. When its first liquified natural gas cargo sailed for Japan in 2014 on the Spirit of Hela, PNG assumed an enviable position as an LNG-exporting country. In 2024, we paused to honor and reflect upon 10 years of Partnership, Growth and Success with all of those who have helped build a resilient, successful, and globally respected Papua New Guinean LNG industry.
