For nearly a decade, we’ve been supporting Shanti Bhavan, a boarding school for some of India’s most disadvantaged children.
Shanti Bhavan provides them with free food, clothes and quality education from pre-kindergarten through to college.
Giving these children a hand up, not just a handout, is helping them break the shackles of poverty within a single generation. And we’re proud to play a part in that.
On a visit to India earlier this year, ExxonMobil Chairman and CEO Darren Woods met with young men and women who have graduated from Shanti Bhavan. Some of them have even gone on to join ExxonMobil.
While interacting with the Shanti Bhavan graduates, Darren emphasized the importance of a good education and hard work in fighting your way up.
Shanti Bhavan former students meet with ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods to thank him for the company's ongoing support.
"At the end of the day, achieving a good education and putting in the hard work are key to getting anywhere in life. Our company values resilience and is proud to have the opportunity to provide meaningful support."
