Earlier this month, ExxonMobil unveiled Vantage – a world-class, centralized operations and monitoring center that’s driving safety, environmental, and operational excellence, and enabling a future state of integrated autonomous operations.
Vantage reflects our scale, technological advantages, and commitment to innovation by completely rethinking how we enhance safety and optimize production across thousands of sites in the United States.
A smarter way to operate
Vantage is as a central hub for real-time monitoring and production management. An extension of our field teams, it helps drive safer, more efficient and more sustainable operations across our U.S. portfolio.
Big numbers, bigger impact
Vantage isn’t just a control room; it’s a high-tech nerve center that’s making a real impact across ExxonMobil’s upstream operations. It enables smarter, faster decision-making both in Houston and in the field. Here’s what that looks like in practice:
- More than 22,000 sites monitored which covers major regions like the Permian Basin, Denbury and the Bakken
- Around-the-clock monitoring to keep production safe and efficient 24/7
- Significant emissions reductions to include eliminating flaring of more than 20 million cubic feet of gas in 2024
- More than 6,000 hours of driving avoided in 2024, improving employee safety
- More than 1 million barrels of oil per day managed and optimized
- More than 3 million barrels of water per day managed and optimized
- More than 3 billion cubic feet of natural gas monitored and directed daily
- More than 29,000 barrels per day in oil uplift realized through field and remote operations production optimization activities
What’s in a name? A lot, actually
The name Vantage reflects how ExxonMobil continues to forge the future of upstream operations.
It signals clarity, perspective, and strategic advantage—and it’s built to grow.
It’s not just a remote operating center. It’s not just a new name. It’s a new way of seeing what’s possible.
