Strong relationships are essential to achieve desired business results. By working collaboratively with strategic suppliers, we are taking connections to a new level at ExxonMobil, finding win-win solutions and creating enterprise value. In fact, more than 85% of Fortune 500 companies utilize supplier recognition programs to enhance supplier performance and promote competition.

At ExxonMobil, our recently launched Supplier Excellence program awards suppliers that demonstrate performance consistent with ExxonMobil's expectations and values. Nominees are evaluated on key measures such as competitiveness and service quality, as well as innovation and technology.

In 2023, three major ExxonMobil Supplier Excellence awards were introduced, as well as several local and category-level awards.

2023 Supplier Excellence award winners:

Supplier of the year award

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI)

This prestigious award recognizes MHI’s premier service quality and responsiveness across ExxonMobil. In our Product Solutions turbomachinery portfolio, MHI supports global operations with ~200 steam turbines and compressors. In Low Carbon Solutions, the collaboration in carbon-capture technologies supports end-to-end solutions for industrial clients to reduce their carbon footprint. In Global Projects, MHI has supported multiple projects with strong performance.

Supplier innovation award

Baker Hughes

Baker Hughes was selected for its Dynamic L1 condition-based predictive maintenance of turbomachinery innovation that has resulted in significant value creation. The innovation is a combination of digital tools, software, and hardware solutions.

Diverse supplier award

Holman

Our inaugural Diverse Supplier award was presented to Holman, a global fleet management company and a certified woman-owned business. Diversity in our supply chain is a key competitive advantage and Holman works with ExxonMobil every day to ensure we meet our business objectives through a competitive fleet management. Doing business with companies like Holman is also important to ExxonMobil’s goal to grow global diverse spending to $6 billion annually by 2025.
