Celebrating collective efforts during Inter-Company Volunteer Week

At ExxonMobil, care is our core value. We actively engage in volunteer work to contribute to the well-being of the communities and environment where we operate. In Hong Kong, we were proud to sponsor Time Auction’s Inter-Company Volunteer Week for the first time, joining hands with representatives from other companies in activities ranging from nature preservation to caring for vulnerable groups.

On November 28, 2025, ExxonMobil Hong Kong (EMHK), together with community partners Time Auction and FOODSPORT, co-hosted a Leave No Trace hike. A team of 26 volunteers from EMHK and 13 volunteers from five other companies hiked from Wanchai to Aberdeen to clean up a 5 km trail. Through our collective effort, 19 kg of waste, including 10 plastic bottles and 8 aluminum cans was collected, reducing an estimated 10.34 kg of carbon dioxide emissions. The waste was later recycled or properly disposed of. In addition, FOODSPORT converted the 38,506 kilocalories burned during the hike into food units, which were donated to their seasonal charity partner Food Grace to support underprivileged elderly residents in Kwai Chung.

Our volunteers also joined the activities sponsored by other companies, supporting NGOs with diverse missions and spreading the culture of care. On November 21, two EMHK volunteers participated in a recycling workshop hosted by Soap Cycling, helping process body care products like soaps, shampoo, and conditioner collected from local hotels for donation to underprivileged communities across Asia to improve hygiene conditions.

On December 17, two EMHK volunteers joined a visit hosted by the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association to the New Life Farm in Tuen Mun, the only agriculture sheltered workshop in Hong Kong providing vocational training for individuals recovering from mental illness, where they experienced organic farming and learned how eco innovation fosters community inclusion.

Time Auction’s Inter-Company Volunteer Week provided a valuable opportunity to expand our volunteer efforts by collaborating with corporates and NGOs. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the organizations involved in this meaningful initiative. Together, we believe we can make a difference.
