For 46 years, this support has provided community members with a much-needed boost to bring some joy to their holiday celebrations.
The support enables the Lions Club to deliver more than 200 supermarket vouchers to recipients in Sale and the surrounding districts, stretching from Loch Sport to Toongabbie.
These vouchers provide community members with some much-appreciated funds to purchase grocery items at a time when there are often additional pressure on finances, which this year have been further impacted by COVID19.
“Through our support of the Sale Lions Club, more than 9,800 hampers have been delivered to local families over the years,” said Esso’s Manager of Longford Plants, Kartik Garg.
“It means so much that despite the tough economic conditions, which are impacting so many local people and businesses, we have been able to maintain our support of the Sale Lions Club, and our community more generally, at this special time of the year.
“This is yet another example of how we are working to make a real and meaningful positive contribution to the lives of our neighbours through our significant investment into the Gippsland community.”
