In this month’s edition of Connection, we highlight our participation in this year’s Australian Energy Producers (AEP) conference as a Principal Partner. This important event brings together the leading energy explorers, producers, innovators, researchers, suppliers and decision makers from across Australia and the world to share the latest research, technology and innovations.
Our Chair, Simon Younger, participated in a plenary panel at the conference alongside other industry experts to tackle the conversation about how best to harness Australia’s competitive strengths.
ExxonMobil Australia’s internship program was a finalist for AEP’s Workforce Development Excellence Award. Our team reimagined the way young Australians can gain valuable experience in the energy industry, embedding interns in a range of teams across the business over the 8-month program.
We highlight the work currently underway in the Gippsland basin to prepare some of our non-producing offshore facilities for decommissioning, such as our Fortescue platform, where our team executed the safe and successful shutdown of living quarters. We’ve also contracted a number of offshore mobile assets, including the Valaris 107 jack-up rig, which is helping us to complete decommissioning works in Bass Strait.
Engaging with the community is always a priority for our team and this month we had the pleasure of hosting the Wellington Shire Council for a tour of our Longford Gas Plants.
Finally, we highlight Mobil’s presence at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show which is the largest truck and transport event in Australia. Our team took this opportunity to connect with commercial customers to share helpful business solutions such as our Mobil Card offering.
We hope you enjoy this edition of Connection.
