Connection March 2025

Welcome to the March 2025 edition of Connection

In this month’s edition of Connection, we’re thrilled to announce the exciting news that the Gippsland Basin Joint Venture will invest $350 million to develop the Turrum Phase 3 project.

In addition to this, Esso, Mitsui and Woodside are investing nearly $200 million into the Kipper 1B Project (also in the Gippsland Basin).

Both projects will see more crucial Gippsland gas delivered to the Australian domestic market.

We share our celebrations of International Women’s Day, both within our team and with the community. Women in our lives and communities were honoured with gatherings across ExxonMobil Australia sites and Natasha Marsh, Operations Technician, participated in a panel discussion at Western Port Secondary College’s International Women’s Day event.

Find out the latest news from our Long Island Point Plant Manager, Andrew Cooke. Andrew highlights advancements in our Hastings Generation Project and how we’re enhancing community engagement.

Longford Plants Manager, Clinton Gentle, shares his quarterly update for the Gippsland community, highlighting recent investments and decommissioning efforts in the Gippsland Basin.

Finally, we’d like you to meet Mobil Altona’s Assistant Terminal Manager, Nikolai Molijn. Beginning his career with ExxonMobil New Zealand, Nikolai recently moved to Australia to assist with the Melbourne Terminal transition and support the team working to meet around 40% of Victoria’s fuel needs.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Connection.
