Afifah Mutmainnah works as a cargo field operator at one of Indonesia’s busiest terminals, a floating storage and offloading facility, the Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) Vessel Gagak Rimang off East Java, helping with work on decks as she monitors cargo being unloaded, helicopter landings, and gas testing, all while studying for her Master degree in Marine Transport Management.
Being the only woman working aboard the offshore facility doesn’t stop her from thriving, blazing a trail for other women whom she hopes will follow in her footsteps.
