ExxonMobil announces retirement of Jeff Woodbury and election of Neil Hansen as vice president of investor relations and secretary
Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) said today that Jeff Woodbury, vice president of investor relations and secretary, has elected to retire after 35 years of service. The board of directors has elected Neil Hansen, downstream controller, as vice president of investor relations and secretary, effective July 1.
Woodbury joined Exxon Company USA in 1983 and has held various managerial positions, including engineering, production, operations and development.
Following assignments in the U.S. and Australia, Woodbury became production manager for the Eastern U.S. and Gulf of Mexico in 1998. In 2001, he was appointed president of ExxonMobil Canada and in 2003, moved to Moscow, where he was president for ExxonMobil Russia. In 2005, Woodbury became vice president for engineering in ExxonMobil Production Company and in 2007, vice president for LNG Infrastructure in ExxonMobil Development Company.
Woodbury was named executive vice president of ExxonMobil Development Company in 2009 and was appointed corporate vice president of Safety, Security, Health and Environment in 2011. He was elected to his current role in 2014.
Woodbury graduated from the University of Southern California with both a bachelors and masters of science degree in petroleum engineering.
He is on the board of councilors of the University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Hansen joined ExxonMobil in 2000 as a financial specialist in the upstream controllers organization supporting ExxonMobil Exploration Company in Houston. He held financial and accounting positions supporting ExxonMobil Production Company in Houston prior to becoming manager of financial reporting at the Sakhalin-1 project in Russia.
Hansen became audit division manager in 2008 in Houston. He moved to Irving as senior financial advisor in 2009 and became investor relations advisor in 2010.
In 2012, Hansen was appointed manager of planning and financial markets in the treasurers department, and became affiliate finance manager in 2013. The following year he moved to Thailand where he took on the roles of lead country manager and manager of business services. He was appointed to his current position in 2017.
Hansen graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and earned a master of business administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a master of science in accounting from the University of St. Thomas.
