Production and handling

Banyu Urip crude is produced from the ~400 million barrel Cepu field in Central Java by operator ExxonMobil Cepu Ltd on behalf of coVenturers which include Pertamina, local government interests and the Government of Indonesia. Banyu Urip crude has been successfully produced and refined domestically since December 2008 at volumes up to 30 kbd. Beginning in the second quarter 2015, Banyu Urip will be available to supply both the Indonesian domestic and international markets with loadings at a newly commissioned FSO. Typical export cargos are planned at a nominal 650 kb on Aframax tankers. Peak production in late 2015 may exceed 165 kbd.
