Business development and sales

It starts with opportunity. Our business and development group identifies and captures market development opportunities with a focus on commercial arrangements. Buying or selling crude, feedstocks, and services is just the beginning.

Procurement/Acquisition — goods and services

Business value, on-time delivery, and cycle time are the core concerns of the purchasing arm for ExxonMobil. This group manages a portfolio of agreements and new requests to enable efficient and effective purchase of goods and services—from purchase to pay.
Example roles: Strategic Buyer, Contracts Lead, Contracts Manager, Category Manager, Sustainability Associate/Advisor/Manager, Procurement Manager

Land and real estate

Risk mitigation protects and delivers value. The Land and real estate group acquires, leases, stewards, administers, and monetizes and divests property rights (surface or subsurface) and real estate.

Marketing

Our markets, products, and services require an insight-driven platform that guides our relationship with partners. Marketing at ExxonMobil creates and implements strategies that add up to optimized customer and business value.

Data, analytics and systems

Best-in-class business tools and processes are driven by technology, data, and information. The Data, analytics and systems group identifies actionable insights, captures value and support data and system integrity. This group also sets the stage for building new, innovative solutions through translating and validating key business requirements. Note that this group differs from computation and data sciences.

Business enablement

The only way business grows is with insights, advice, and recommendations from those who know best. Our business enablement group creates action plans that enhance business and customer value through improved offer delivery and optimized workflow. Beyond mixing business knowledge with data and process management and execution, this group consults, leads, and participates in enterprise-wide initiatives and studies.

Supply chain

Security and attention to detail is critical to keep ExxonMobil operations running smoothly. Our supply chain group optimizes the value chain, manages third-party providers, oversees production plans and raw material acquisition to improve support processes and more.
Example roles: Demand Planner, Global Supply Planner/Advisor, Inventory Analyst, Logistics Advisor, Production Scheduler, Scheduler, Site Coordinator, Warehouse Supervisor
