Controllers

The success of ExxonMobil is powered by the financial advice of those who know best. The Controllers group is responsible for financial accounting, analysis, reporting and controls—working closely with the business to prepare and analyze financial operating results. The group also oversees all internal and external financial reporting, and conducts internal audits to assess the controls environment.

Example roles: Financial Accounting and Reporting, Auditor, BAR Corporate Reporting Analyst, Local / Regional Controls Advisor, Reporting Analyst, Upstream Operations Accounting Analyst

Tax

Compliance, planners and advisors help keep ExxonMobil financially sound. Compliance oversees the timely and accurate filing of tax documents. Planners/advisors provide sound tax advice to optimize ExxonMobil and affiliates’ business transactions, making sure advice is compliant with tax laws, in addition to analyzing, monitoring and, when possible, influencing proposed legislation.

Example roles: Property Tax Agent, Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Analyst, Tax Planner/Advisor

Treasurers

We lead many of the world’s biggest investment strategies. We implement these strategies through the care of our treasurer group, which ensures ExxonMobil’s capital structure provides financial flexibility through effective cash management. This group also leads discussions with our business partners on shareholder value creation and protection, and general interest economics and risk mitigation.

Example roles: Cash Management, Risk Management and Insurance 2 (Insurance Analyst, Claims Supervisor, Claims Technician, Financial Analyst)
