ExxonMobil delivers care packages to local hospitals
The care packages were distributed to healthcare workers at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas and Christus Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Hospital.
“Healthcare professionals are an important part of our everyday lives,” said Jonathan Parsons, ExxonMobil Beaumont lubricant plant manager. “We wanted to show them that we appreciate their hard work, especially during this challenging time.”
Each care package included an ExxonMobil-branded drawstring backpack, hand sanitizer, an ExxonMobil-branded lip balm, two gift cards to local restaurants, one Exxon Mobil gas gift card, a handwritten “Thank You” card and assorted snacks. Handwritten “Thank You” cards were created by students at ExxonMobil Beaumont’s business partner schools, Amelia Elementary and Charlton-Pollard Elementary.
“We are glad to be part of the care packages and express our gratitude to local healthcare professionals,” said Bill Allen, president of the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce. “Providing gift cards not only benefits our healthcare workers, but our locally-owned restaurants as well.”
“During times like this, it is important that we come together as a community to help one another,” said Dr. Lonnie Howard, president of the Lamar Institute of Technology. “We are proud to be working alongside ExxonMobil to support and recognize local healthcare professionals by providing gas cards and restaurant gift cards.”
Additionally, ExxonMobil created banners for each hospital to display thanking all healthcare workers in Southeast Texas.
