ExxonMobil Hong Kong (EMHK) is committed to supporting the development of Hong Kong's youth and helping them effectively plan their careers from an early age. On July 5, EMHK supported the JA Career 4.0 Seminar organized by Junior Achievement Hong Kong at HHCKLA Buddhist Leung Chik Wai College, marking the end of the series of seminars that began in February.
During the seminar, EMHK volunteer speaker Ian Wong shared his experience and insights from his various assignments in sales and marketing within ExxonMobil with over 200 form 2 and form 3 students. Ian emphasized the significance of continuous learning as it enables individuals to adapt and excel in a wide range of job duties.
In light of the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), Ian underscored the importance of embracing technological change. He urged students to adopt a positive attitude as they approach new technology and develop skillsets to stay competitive in the job market.
The seminar ended on a high note with Nicole Wong, a colleague who graduated in recent years, providing valuable advice to students in a Q&A session on choosing electives and navigating the job-hunting process. Her firsthand experience resonated with the students and sparked lively discussions.
EMHK is dedicated to inspiring the youth of Hong Kong through similar initiatives in the future. By empowering the next generation with the proper knowledge and skills, they will continue to excel and make contributions to society.
