Mobil New Zealand and KidsCan are making a difference to the lives of Kiwi kids in need
Through the partnership Mobil has donated over $370,000 since it first began in 2018, assisting thousands of Kiwi kids by providing essential items they need to be nourished, cosy and ready to learn every day.

KidsCan is a New Zealand based charity that makes a real difference to thousands of Kiwi kids across Aotearoa every day, ensuring kids who would otherwise go to school hungry, tired and miserable are nourished, cosy and ready to learn.
Mobil’s partnership with KidsCan began in 2018 and we’re now a major partner of the charity. Through an in-store coffee cup campaign launched in 2021, which sees 10 cents from every hot beverage sold at Mobil service stations donated to KidsCan, we have raised $268,000 to date. In the last three months alone, we’ve sold a phenomenal 399,000 hot beverages delivering $39,900 to the charity! Including contributions, over $370,000 has been raised for KidsCan through the partnership.
“We should all be immensely proud of what’s been achieved through our partnership, with staff from across the business pitching in to help create a better outcome for Kiwi kids in need,” said Andrew McNaught, Lead Country Manager for New Zealand.
KidsCan CEO and founder, Julie Chapman, offered some words of thanks to the team. “A heartfelt thank you from myself and everyone at KidsCan to all Mobil’s incredible baristas and service station staff. Thanks to your mahi (staff), many more Kiwi kids living in poverty will get what they need to learn and thrive.
“Because for every coffee you make and sell at participating service stations, Mobil donates 10 cents to KidsCan. This goes directly into our programmes at over 1,000 schools and early childhood centres throughout Aotearoa, providing children in need with delicious food, quality shoes, comfy socks, rain jackets and health items.”
Here’s an idea of what $39,990 can buy:
• One week of breakfasts for almost 4,000 children
• A rain jacket, shoes, and socks for 800 children
• One year of food, clothing, and health products for 66 pre-schoolers
