Production and handling
The constituent fields Diana (East Breaks 9945, 946, 988 & 989), South Diana (Alaminos Canyon 65), Hoover (Alaminos Canyon 25 & 26), Marshall (East Breaks 949), and Madison (Alaminos Canyon 24 & 25) are located approximately 150 miles offshore Galveston in the western portion of the Gulf of Mexico. The primary production facilities consist of a Deep-Draft Caisson Vessel (DDCV) in 4,800 feet of water at the Hoover site. Diana, South Diana, Madison, and Marshall production originates several miles away from sub-sea production facilities in over 5000 feet of water which then flows over to the Hoover DDCV where it is commingled with the Hoover volume. Production from Diana began in May 2000 and from Hoover in September 2000. Marshall and Madison production began fourth quarter 2001. South Diana production began approximately fourth quarter 2003.
ExxonMobil Pipeline Company operates a 153-mile common carrier pipeline system from the Hoover DDCV to Quintana Terminal (just south of Freeport, TX). From Quintana, deliveries can be made to custody transfer points at Jones Creek, TX or Texas City, TX (access TEPPCo terminal and distribution system for delivery into Texas City and Houston). Beginning first-half 2002, Kerr-McGee began production from their Boomvang and Nansen fields. This production is commingled offshore with the Diana/Hoover/Marshall/Madison fields via the Williams-operated Banjo Pipeline. This production is now commingled offshore with Shell-operated Perdido production. HOOPS Blend is delivered mainly into Texas City, TX and is priced primarily on a differential to Southern Green Canyon.

We know high prices are having a real impact on families everywhere – no one wants to pay more to get themselves to work or their kids to school.
