Gullfaks Blend

Production and handling

The Gullfaks A/B and Gullfaks C streams were commingled as of May 1, 2005. The new Gullfaks Blend is located 160km west of the Sogne Fjord, 20km southeast of Statfjord and 7km southwest of the Snorre platform. 

Production began at Tordis in Jan 94, at Vigdis in 1997 and at Borg in Jul 99. Production from the constituent fields (Gullfaks Blend (A/B and C), Tordis, Vigdis and Visund) is ~150 kbd. 

Typical cargo size is 855 kb. 

Load Port Data

Loading is via offshore facilities. 

Typical characteristics

Gullfaks Blend (~60 vol-% crude from Gullfaks A/B platform and ~40 vol-% crude from Gullfaks C) is an intermediate low sulfur crude oil.
