About ExxonMobil Brazil

ExxonMobil was the first oil and gas company to establish operations in Brazil. We began our journey on January 17, 1912, under the name Standard Oil Company of Brazil, and have maintained uninterrupted operations in the country ever since.

Our legacy includes the iconic Esso brand, the Tiger mascot, and the Repórter Esso radio and television news program, which later inspired the Esso Journalism Award – one of the most prestigious honors in the history of Brazilian journalism for over six decades.

Today, we operate an Upstream office in Rio de Janeiro, a Product Solutions office in São Paulo, and a Global Business Center in Curitiba, employing approximately 2,000 people across the country.
