Doing more for modern plastics with less
- For plastics, our goal is to do more with less.
- We’re working to make plastics thinner and lighter, without making them any less tough.
- We’re also finding ways to make packaging with a single-type plastic, which can be easier to recycle.*

Plastic has helped make everyday life easier. But can we help make plastic better for the future?
At our Bengaluru R&D Technology Center (BRDTC), our goal is to achieve that.
It’s a difficult job, but our research technologists are paving the way forward. They’re aiming to improve plastic packaging in a variety of different ways.
This includes using fewer materials to make it thinner and lighter while ensuring it’s still tough enough to protect what’s inside. At the same time, we’re finding ways to expand the lifecycle of plastics.
So how do we actually do this?
Listen to our research technologist Mythrayee Rangarajan as she takes us inside the BRDTC lab and uncovers what goes on behind making plastic packaging for the modern world.
