Edit metadata

Editing asset information
Licensed users and administrators have access to edit asset information in the DAC.
Assets on the DAC are required to include the following key metadata information: location, persons photographed, licensing agreement, life cycle of asset, etc. to ensure all assets are properly tagged and to aid in search functionality.
We will lean on users of the DAC to make changes to inaccurate or missing asset information as well as provide key metadata when uploading.
There are several ways to edit asset information, including editing individual assets or a batch of assets.
How to edit individual asset information
Once you have identified the assets you would like to edit:
- Click on the asset to gain access to the asset preview
- Note: You do not have to be the uploader to edit asset information
- View all available metadata by expanding the asset information; Metadata is divided into metadata groups that can be expanded and collapsed individually
- Add information such as title, description, location, licensing, asset life cycle, etc.
- Click save to keep the asset changes or discard them by clicking cancel
How to edit asset information in a batch
Once you have identified the asset(s) you would like to edit:

- View all available metadata by expanding the asset information; Metadata is divided into metadata groups that can be expanded and collapsed individually
