Empower climate leaders of tomorrow to build a sustainable future

Climate change poses a pressing challenge that affects us and younger generations. At ExxonMobil, empowering the youth with the knowledge and skills they need is crucial for shaping a sustainable future. This commitment is reflected in ExxonMobil Hong Kong's (EMHK) support for the Hong Kong 2050 is Now Young Environment Ambassadors (YEA) Programme organized by Civic Exchange. Through this initiative, we are helping to cultivate 26 ambitious and proactive future climate leaders from 18 local secondary schools.

The seven-month programme is enriched with workshops and training sessions on tackling climate challenges with climate science and design thinking. Tony Kwok, EMHK Hong Kong/Macau Fuels Sales Director, and Desmond Chan, External Affairs Manager, Public & Government Affairs, volunteered as guest speakers where they shared insights on ExxonMobil's plan to play a leading role in the energy transition with technology and sustainability approaches, inspiring participants to develop and execute sustainable projects that can make a real difference. At the end of the programme, an ExxonMobil Best Potential Award was awarded to the team whose idea and project were deemed transformative to help tackle the climate challenges.

ExxonMobil's dedication to addressing climate change extends beyond our expertise. We are keen to invest our resources in nurturing the bright minds of tomorrow. We hope our support for environmental and youth initiatives can motivate young people to envision and build a sustainable future for themselves and for generations to follow.
