Ana Vassili began her career with ExxonMobil in 2000 as an IBL student from Monash University, and like so many of her colleagues, has been both a contractor and an employee during her time with us. She is now an IT Senior Advisor within the ExxonMobil IT team.

“So far, my career highlight has been working in PNG; an immersive experience that challenged me and rewarded me in equal measure. I was part of a tight-knit unit that worked together, supported each other, and had fun. I formed lifelong bonds with amazing individuals and contributed to the successful PNG LNG project.  I felt valued, empowered, and proud of my achievements throughout that time,” Ana said.

This experience saw Ana develop an enthusiasm for inclusion and diversity including the belief that everyone deserves a fair chance to succeed, without facing barriers or biases.  This passion led her to join the I&D Council.

“I'm thrilled to be part of the I&D Council because I'm dedicated to creating a workplace where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive, regardless of gender or background.  It’s great to see how we are building a safe culture where people feel empowered to speak up and are not afraid to be themselves,” Ana continued.

Ana hopes to contribute to a more inclusive atmosphere within our organisation, where diverse perspectives are valued and everyone feels a sense of belonging.  This includes having an accessible, flexible and accommodating work environment where everyone can reach their full potential, and that continuous learning will ensure we have a culture that embeds I&D in all aspects of our organisation.

“The most rewarding thing about my job is the people and the variety of experiences.  My colleagues have been a support system for me, and always make me laugh especially on days that are harder. They are the backbone to creating a sense of belonging and helping me feel connected and inspired every day,” concluded Ana.
