The Gippsland team wanted to purchase locally-made masks for the Longford Plants and offshore workforce. Through the investigative work of Sale local and Esso Offshore Production Administration Assistant Angela Jones, masks were sourced from the Twin Rivers Lions Club which is located near to Lakes Entrance and Esso’s offshore operations.
Operations Superintendent Simon Kemp said that 500 masks were purchased by Esso from the Twin Rivers Lions Club.
“At Esso, we are always looking for ways to support the wider Gippsland community and we were pleased to be able to make this very different kind of contribution during the time of COVID-19.
“We are thankful to Twin Rivers Lions Club President Desma Payne and the wider volunteer group for their efforts in providing us with locally made masks. We understand it was a real team effort to produce these for us quickly and safely in line with COVID-19 restrictions,” he said.
