This scope of work describes the Provision of Subsea Hydraulic Fluids and Additives.

Specific Requirements

• Castrol Transaqua HT2 hydraulic control fluid, described as environmentally friendly, corrosion protecting, hydrate resistant, fire resistant hydraulic fluid of high cleanliness to be used in Block 15.
• This fluid is required for subsea valve operation and to maintain the integrity of subsea equipment in Angola Block 15.
• All the subsea trees and manifold currently in Block 15 require a control fluid (Castrol Transaqua HT2) to enable their valves to be operated from the FPSO. These control fluids are water-based.
• Hydraulic media specifically formulated for use in subsea production controls systems.
• Flexible delivery options to meet demand and reduce operational risk: ex-works Soyo (sourced internationally and transported by vendor to Company Yard, Kwanda Base), ex-works Angola (sourced internationally and transported by vendor to local yard location for collection by Company designated freight forwarder), ex-works Angola (vendor warehouse stock assigned to Company and collected by Company designated freight forwarder), and ex-works Internationally (collected by Company designated freight forwarder).
• Vendor(s) to ensure fluid cleanliness, stability, and authenticity.
• A separate option for call-off provision of colored dye fluid additive compatible to Castrol Transaqua HT2 and the subsea control system to improve subsea hydraulic leak identification.

The equipment supplied must comply with the COMPANY's specifications, and must be QUALIFIED for the specific systems on which the use is proposed. More details below for each scope of work.

AVT (Annulus Vacuum Testing)

For annulus vacuum testing, the CONTRACTOR will be asked to determine the integrity of the riser, including but not limited to condition of vent ports, condition of outer sheath, determine and compare annulus vent volumes compared to benchmark volumes. CONTRACTOR shall provide mitigations and recommendations for all results.

Unblocking of Vent Ports

For unblocking of vent ports, CONTRACTOR shall provide solutions for AB15 risers with and without I-tubes. Solutions may include, but are not limited to, mechanical removal, chemical removal, pressure unblocking, gels to protect riser, borescope camera to understand outer sheath, etc.

Fatigue and Remnant Life Assessment

Risers with identified potential critical anomalies such as flooded annlulus, external sheath damage may require assessment and remnant life analysis. This may include global dynamic analysis, local fatigue analysis including historical conditions, local strength analysis including corrosion effects and other anomalies. Vendor shall propose mitigations and recommendations.

Visual Inspection

For visual inspection inspection, the CONTRACTOR will be asked to visually inspect accessible parts of the end fitting, the hang-off, I-tubes, bend stiffereners. The CONTRACTOR may be asked to witness subsea surveys and to provide input to the survey procedures and evaluate the survey results for anomalies and mitigations for consideration.

The CONTRACTOR is obliged to review the designs of block 15 installations and operational data and, where necessary, modify or customize the procedures and equipment in accordance with the conditions of the operations and configuration of the system. The CONTRACTOR shall provide appropriate procedures to complete the services safely and effectively. 

The CONTRACTOR is asked to provide qualified specialists and technicians at offshore locations to perform the necessary support services during the required activities above.

Gel Pig Chemical Cleaning
For Gel Pig Chemical cleaning Pigging services, the supplier will be asked to provide chemical solution to safety dissolve debris on pipeline prior to maintenance pigging activities. Test may be required to prove effectiveness of the gel pig chemical cleaning product. Supplier will be asked to provide equipment to run Gel pig chemical cleaning operations and provide waste management solution, including disposal of chemical. 

The supplier is obliged to review the designs of Block 15 installations and operational data and, where necessary, modify or customize the gel pig and chemical strategy in accordance with the conditions of the operations and design of the installations, including, but not limited to, diameter changes, star configuration ("wye"), curves, wall thicknesses and flexible. The supplier shall provide appropriate procedures to complete the services safely and effectively.

Intelligent Pigging (ILI)
For ILI Pigging services, the Contractor will be asked to test each pig for the configuration of the production line to provide appropriate functionality in accordance with corollary specifications (whether caliper or ultrasonic "UT"), ability to safely cross the desired production line System. The definition of the test qualification expectations  is defined in depth in Test Requirements.
