REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of CHemicals) is one of the most complex and far reaching Chemical regulations ever. REACH was adopted by the European Parliament and the Council in December 2006 and entered into force on June 1, 2007. REACH has also become a legislation in the European Economic Area (EEA) countries Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland in addition to the EU 28 member states.

REACH has impact for all industry sectors dealing with chemical products manufactured in or imported to EU/EEA but also companies exporting to EU/EEA should be aware about REACH impacts and responsibilities. REACH has impact for all ExxonMobil business lines, and ExxonMobil has a dedicated REACH team in place to ensure REACH compliance and to co-ordinate and integrate activities across the various ExxonMobil business lines.
