What we look for

Requirements vary by department - learn more about our three main opportunities.

Corporate Financial Services

  • Active college / university student status
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hrs / week)
  • Last phase of your studies (maximum 2 semesters away from obtaining your bachelor's degree)
  • Ongoing economics degree with at least 2 absolved semesters of accounting (controlling / reporting or equivalent)
  • Fluency in English

Fuels & Lubes Client Services

  • Ongoing degree in any field
  • Active college / university student status
  • Ability to work 24 / 32 or 40 hrs / week
  • Possibly maximum one year away from obtaining a degree
  • Fluency in English and in any of the following languages: German / Italian / French / Norwegian / Dutch

ExxonMobil Information Technology

  • Ongoing degree in IT engineering / Business IT / Electrical Engineering / Programming Math
  • Active college / university student status
  • Ability to work 24 / 32 or 40 hrs / week
  • Fluency in English

What to expect

We hire candidates who demonstrate the potential to contribute in multiple assignments throughout a career. This is why our interviews will focus on your aspirations, skills and professional plans and how they align with our business needs.

At the beginning of your internship, you’ll work with your coaching supervisor to determine your objectives and what is included in your portfolio of responsibilities. You’ll receive regular feedback throughout your internship in ongoing conversations with your supervisor.

Our hiring process

After submitting your application, you’ll receive an automated confirmation email. Then, our recruitment team will begin reviewing your CV and qualifications.

Whether or not you are selected for one of our openings, you can expect an email notification from us. If you apply for one internship but show potential in other departments, we will contact you to test your level of interest.

Candidates with the necessary education and skills will receive an email scheduling a short phone discussion in English and in your second language (if applicable) to assess your interests and your language skills. After a successful phone discussion, you’ll be invited to an in-person interview with supervisors from the relevant departments. We will ask you to provide examples from your experiences to help us understand your analytical, technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Feel free to use experiences from previous internships or from your professional studies.

Non-Hungarian residents are eligible to attend a Skype interview first, and successful candidates will be invited for an in-person interview as well. Note that our Budapest GBC does not reimburse travel costs (e.g., accommodation, meals, flight / bus / train tickets) related to interviewing.
