Job role summary

The Local Content Analyst is responsible for providing local content support to EEPGL operations and for supporting EEPGL’s local content reporting.  
Duties include tracking socioeconomic benefits derived from ExxonMobil business, support monitoring, advising on and implementing changes of Guyana local content policy that directly or indirectly impact EEPGL’s operations. The Local Content Analyst is responsible for tracking compliance with Guyana local content obligations with the use of a database.  Responsibilities include coordination with Human Resources, Procurement, Commercial, Treasurers, Public and Government Affairs and external stakeholders as appropriate.   

Job role responsibilities

  • Support Local Content Plan and strategy to address Workforce Development, Supplier Development and Strategic Community Investments for the EEPGL’s projects
  • Interface with internal departments and business line management on local content priorities and communications
  • Support appropriate internal planning, stewardship metrics, and reporting processes to track performance and capability against plans for workforce, suppliers and strategic community investments
  • Assist with development of metrics/reports quarterly for EEPGL leadership / management review and Government submission  
  • Support management of process in place to monitor status and effectiveness of local content development with major contractors and other external stakeholders
  • Support local content communications plans and assist in developing and enhancing information on local content
  • Communicate lessons learned and best practices back to ExxonMobil to share with other projects regarding local content development

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Affairs, Government, Business, Engineering, or related degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience in related activities
