ExxonMobil, through its heritage companies, has been operating in Mexico for more than 125 years.

We have approximately 250 employees in Mexico, with a lubricant blending plant in Vallejo and chemical terminal in the port of Tuxpan. Our business lines are based in Mexico City.

ExxonMobil is a strong participant in the finished lubricants market through its wide network of distributors, that reaches automotive, industrial, marine and aviation customers.

Our chemical division is among the top suppliers to Mexico’s industry sector. Materials are used in several different markets such as automotive, appliances, mining, flexible and rigid packaging, caps and closures, carpets, and paints and coatings.

ExxonMobil is committed to investing in all the communities in which we operate, and in Mexico, we implement initiatives that address education, women’s economic development, and poverty alleviation.

Launched in 2012, the ExxonMobil Scholarship Program for Research offers financial aid to math, science and engineering students from the National Autonomous University of Mexico to complete their dissertation projects. Likewise, we sponsor a 24-month pilot project led by WeConnect International-Mexico, to promote local supplier development in the competitive industrial base and strengthen national content programs in-country.
