Science education

Continuing our dedication to encouraging interest in math and science, Esso Thailand joined with the National Science Museum to promote these subjects through the implementation of three different programs.

One is a Science Caravan, which delivers traveling exhibitions to schools, offering activities to students that aim to enhance their interest in science. Another initiative is a weekly public television program about various innovative science topics, such as the story of gasoline production. The last program is a summer youth camp called Knowledge is Light with Esso. In May 2012, two camps were offered, and each provided math and science lessons to children between the ages of 10 and 16. These camps were free, and nearly 120 children attended. Esso Thailand has donated approximately $115,000 to support these three programs.
