In 2015, ExxonMobil’s total recordable workforce incident rate per 200,000 work
hours was 0.24, a slight decrease from 2014. Over the past decade, we have
reduced this rate by more than 30 percent. When compared with the American
Petroleum Institute U.S. petroleum industry workforce benchmark, ExxonMobil
continues to be below the industry average. *Workforce includes employees and contractors. Incidents include both injuries
and illnesses. Depending on the reporting year, around 5 to 10 percent of the
incidents are illness-related.
